Scoopz,
What the hell was the point of getting Ellis' rights, are they saying Price isn't the man in Montreal? Can you see Ellis signing to be a backup?
I've always liked Boyd and if all this trade turns out to be is selfish Sergei for Boyd, I think the Habs have done all right.
I dunno Jalen it doesn't make sense. There are many reports including several comments from Dan Ellis's twitter saying he's excited to be a Canadien and hopes they can work out a deal. This isn't what Price needs and no i don't see Ellis wanting to be a backup to Price. If they were going to get a backup I was expecting an experience guy at the end of his career to mentor Price like Biron. Doesn't make much sense especially when and or if they sign Ellis he'll probably be commanding close to what Price gets causing more cap damage.
I do like the move for both teams. Sergei gets a fresh start where he'll get consistent 2nd line minutes and freedom to play offensively while Montreal get a gritty checking line player which they need.
