Ice Scoopz: Monday Noon

We're back on track after a brief hiatus due to personal reasons but we should be good to move forward starting with this week. Once again sorry for any inconvience but we should be finally delay free and ready to get going once again!I know theirs been several delays this spring but this lastest bunch of family reasons has finally been put behind us and we're 100% ready to go. I'm excited and have been preparing for the draft while on this latest break. I've been watching a ton of tape and have been pumping out reports on a nightly basis so this years draft coverage should be my best ever. In the next few weeks I'll be working on my official draft preview and predictions so if any of you guys have any questions or even previews of your own feel free to post them again. *-> Alexander Salak of Färjestad is rumored to be coming close to a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks to bring Salak back to North America.

*-> Dick Axelsson has officially decided to stay in Sweden which should end the rumors of the Swedish forwards much anticipated Detroit debut. Or do they? Although Axelsson has signed with Modo it's still rumored he's thinking of coming to North America and is rumored to have a NHL release clause.

*-> Former Colorado Avalanche Tom Preissing has signed with Dynamo Minsk as the Belarussian club looks to add more punch to their line-up.

*-> Dynamo Minsk has also signed Lukas Krajicek who played last season with HC Trinec of the Czech Elite Liga.

*-> SKA St. Petersburg has made a major pitch for Jaromir Jagr it's reported. The Czech forward also has officially admitted that the Montreal Canadiens have approached him in regards to bringing him back to the NHL for one last run at the cup.

*-> Jozef Stumpel has left Dynamo Minsk and has signed a deal with Spartak Moscow.

*-> Alexander Suglobov has signed a deal with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.

*-> Finn Petri Kontiola has left Metallurg Magnitogorsk and signed a deal with rival club Traktor Chelyabinsk.

*-> Mikko Lehtonen has left Skellefteå of the SEL and headed to Severstal Cherepovets of the KHL.

*-> Avangard Omsk has lost their heavy shot from the point as Denis Kulyash has signed with Ak Bars Kazan.

*-> Stanislav Chistov has signed with Traktor Chelyabinsk.

*-> Niklas Persson signed a deal with CSKA Moscow.

*-> Rumors around Russia are still spinning concerning Jaromir Jagr many are truly believing that there is lots of NHL interest in Mario Lemieux's former wingman. The Pengiuins and the Oilers both appear to rumored as well as the Canadiens.

*-> Speaking of the Habs, prospect and best KHL goaltender Kari Ramo appears to be close to resigning with Avangard OMSK despite the Canadiens trying to pursway himto return to North America.

The KHL off season is under way so it's been a pretty busy day across the pond. Here is this mornings KHL news.

*-> Mikhail Yakubov has signed a deal with Metallurg Magnitogorsk leaving Yugra Khanty.

*-> Sergei Mozyakin has also signed with Metallurg Magnitogorsk leaving behind his former club HK Atlant.

*-> Former NHLer Michael Garnett has signed a deal with Traktor Chelyabinsk.

*-> Petr Cajanek has left the KHL and his club SKA St. Petersburg for HC Zlin of the Czech Elite Liga.

*-> Former Calgary Flame Staffan Kronwall has left Djurgarden of the SEL for Severstal Cherepovets of the KHL.

*-> Jan Lasak signed a deal with Amur Khabarovsk leaving Jokerit of the SEL.

*-> Dinamo Riga has officially parted ways with Mark Hartigan, Robert Petrovicky, Tomas Surovy and goaltender Mikael Tellqvist but decided to keep imports Chris holt and Brock Trotter as they look to add a new crew of imports.

Ice Scoopz: Monday Morning

*-> Russian defenseman Vyachaslav Voinov of the Los Angeles Kings has reportedly contacted his former club about possibly returning to Russia. The promising blueliner would love to remain in the NHL but is apparently upset with the Kings bringing him along slowly and the lack of a chance for him to showcase his efforts in the NHL. The Traktor GM Eugene Tsybuk has acknowledged that Voinov would like to return to Russia if he doesn't get the chance and promised to help him sign with Traktor if that is the case.

*-> Tomas Vokoun is also attracting interest from overseas. Avangard OMSK is reportedly clearly up their finances in order to make an offer for the upcoming free agent goaltender.

*-> The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed former Team Sweden goaltender Mark Owuya to a 3 year entry level deal.

*-> Mattias Sjogren of Farjestad is reportedly close to a deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

*-> Sjogrens Farjestad teammate Dick Axelsson is also close to a deal with the Detroit Red Wings. Axelsson has been coveted for quite some time by the Detroit Red Wings who have been in talks since drafting the young Swede to try and bring him accross the pond. In recent years Axelsson has said he just wasn't ready for that step in his career.

*-> The Phoenix Coyotes will lose assistant coach Ulf Samuelsson to the Swedish Elite League has they announced this morning that Samuelsson will take over the head coach position at MODO.

*-> Finally a crazy report out of Russia has Jaromir Jagr looking at a possible return to the NHL for one last season. Jagr who was quoted at the World Championships to Russian Sport as saying he thought he still could play would look at everything after the Worlds. The Montreal Canadiens have reportedly made a big push to contact Jagr and would love to bring him in on a 1 year deal says the Russian News Agency. Another rumor that spins off of this one has Jagr only signing a deal in which fellow countryman and Jagr's apprentice Roman Cervenka be involved as well.
