Ice Scoopz: Tuesday Afternoon

A few rumors for the day, my Round 1 Mock Draft/Preview should be up sometime today so stay tuned for that and more rumors.

*-> Philip Gogulla of the Buffalo Sabres has taken off back to Germany. Gogulla has signed a deal today with Kolner Haie of the DEL. Gogulla played last season with the Portland Pirates of the AHL.

*-> The KHL continues to bid on the services of Ilya Kovalchuk with another big time offer. St. Petersburg has offered the Russian sniper a 3 year deal worth 14 MIL$ per season. It's doubtful that Kovalchuk will leave the NHL but that kind of money can easily change minds.

*-> The Detroit Red Wings are close to resigning big Todd Bertuzzi to a 2 year deal. Its rumored to be worth 2$ MIL per season but the Wings and Burt are both still working out the final details.

*-> Former NHL All Star Dominik Hasek has signed a deal landing him in the KHL. Hasek who is 45 years old continues to dominate and recently won his hometown club Pardubice HC a Czech league title. This season Hasek will lace up for Spartek Moscow after he signed the 1 year deal.

*-> Nikolai Kulemin and the Leafs Brian Burke are both miles apart in terms of a contract renewal. Kulemin is asking for atleast 3 million per season something that Burke is unwilling to pay at the moment. Burka has admitted to have not spoken to the Russian forward for over 2 weeks leading to the idea that a deal might be coming shortly. Kulemin has also received offers from the KHL but wishes to remain in the NHL. If the Leafs cant come to terms and keep his rights it is expected though he'll bolt back overseas.
