*-> Karri Ramo of Avangard Omsk and the Tampa Bay Lightning appears to be prepared to honor his 2 year KHL contract. The Lightning has asked Ramo to return to the NHL but the young goaltender has said he'll only return at the end of next season and only if he feels like playing in the NHL. He also said it is however a good possibility if the situation is right.
*-> Yesterday Kyle Chipchura was signed by Anaheim to a 1 year deal worth 650k. This will be his make of break NHL season to prove he belongs.
*-> The Los Angeles Kings have signed Swedish free agent Johan Fransson to a contract. Fransson who played last season for Lulea is rumored to be signed to a 2 year deal worth 850k but terms are still murky.
*-> Finally some aftermath news from the Halak deal. Its been reported that Minnesota had a deal on the table with St. Louis involving Josh Harding and Ian Schultz. The Blues were reportedly waiting on the Habs to finish shopping Halak before oking Minnys offer. Another rumor had Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas heading to St. Louis as well. I've also heard whispers that San Jose was also in on Halak as well but couldn't hammer a deal out.
