*-> A few more waived players from this morning to tell you about. The Edmonton Oilers have waived captain Ethan Moreau today. Moreau had a little interest at the trade deadline and it is expected to continue on today. The Toronto Maple Leafs liked Moreau but not at his cap hit but now he's hit waivers he could come a cheap price. The Boston Bruins also repotedly had their eyes on Moreau but their not expected to make a claim. the Oilers have also waived the disgruntled Robert Nilsson and underachiever Patrick O'Sullivan. Nilsson is rumored to be heading to the KHL while O'Sullivan should garner a bit of interest around the league. The Minnesota Wild are reportedly watching him closly.
*-> The Anaheim Ducks have waived Nathan Oystric and he's expected to clear.
*-> The Lightning have waived Todd Fedoruk but he's expected to remain with the team in the AHL and do spot duty.
*-> The New York Rangers to no surprise have waived Donald Brashear, Aaron Voros and Patrick Rissmiller. Are are expected to clear and report to Hartford of the AHL. Donald Brashear however is expected to be boughtout. There is a wacky rumor out Detroit that the Red Wings would be interested in Brashear but I highly highly doubt it. just because Holland and the Wings want an enforcer doesn't mean any enforcer. The Wings want one who can take a regular shift not an aging goon from the prelockout era.
*-> All of the players from yesterday have cleared waivers.
