Ice Scoopz: Saturday Afternoon

*-> The Columbus Blue Jackets and the Boston Bruins have admitted that they recently have been discussing a trade involving the Blue Jackets 4th overall pick. Many believe that center Marc Savard is the topic of discussion but Bruins management have denied any link to a Savard deal. We do know for a fact that the Blue Jackets are looking at picking up a top line center, and we also know the Bruins are wishing to dump some cap. The Bruins may be shopping ether David Krejci or Patrice Bergeron. We'll have to wait in this coming week to see what happens with this one, my guess is they are talking but. It may just be minor.

*-> The Tampa Bay Lightning have made it known they plan to keep their pick at number 6 this Friday night. Despite the rumors of a possible deal Stevie Y plans to keep his 1st rounder. Many are believing that Yzerman is looking at goalies this coming draft. Its hard to say but other than Campbell and even then I dunno about the Bolts taking yet another goalie to clog their system.

*-> The Minnesota Wild are shopping the number 9th pick at this Fridays draft. The Wild are rumored to be after a top line player in return particularly a scoring winger. Some people are also saying they are looking for a 2nd line center for behind Mikko Koivu.

More in a bit, it appears my Draft Preview Part 2 is still pending from last night. Ill repost if it doesn't appear this evening. Come on guys use the forum ad let me know how you feel about the recent trades! I'm especially interested in what everyone has to say about the Halak deal, I know we have some Montreal fans out there dying to voice themselves!
