Ice Scoopz: Early Thursday Morning

*-> Just a quick one for now but it's most likely going to develop inot a trade sometime soon. Nicklas Wallin of the Carolina Hurricanes was a healthy skratch last night for the 2nd time in a row. Speculation is that the Canes have asked Wallin to waive his no trade clause and the destination looks more and more like San Jose. TSN has also reported that they were in discussions earlier this week. I've heard San Jose's name the past month and it seams to be the only consistent taker for Wallin so its likely odds in my opinion but anything can happen. I'll watch this one as well as it's a good chance Wallin is on the move somewhere if not to the Sharks.

The Kovalchuk countdown begins, it's like Christmas. I'm still hearing the same pack of teams but the Canadiens can be added to the list of teams that most likely are out of the bidding (Chicago, Philly, Vancouver). It's tough to say where he's going it's anybodies guess right now. I wouldn't be surprised if Nashville took a shot at Ilya ala Forsberg several years back. Keep tuning in.
