*-> Ian White of the Carolina Hurricanes is not on the ice today for the Hurricanes practise. TSN has reported he is healthy so therefore he should be attending the manditory practise. It's being said around the rumor community that he is very close to being dealt and has been kept off the ice for precautionary reasons. The New York Rangers and the Columbus Blue Jackets have both been mentioned as possible destinations.
*-> More rumors out of Atlanta today as defenseman Zach Bogosian is back in the rumor mill. Reports from Sportnets and several other small media outlets are now saying Bogosian is unhappy in Atlanta and the situation has gone from bad to worse. Many are saying Bogosian has told the team that he'd like out before next season. Many teams would be lining up for his services if and I mean IF the Thrashers decided to listen to offers for the young blueliner. I'm not quite buying this one yet, it's still too early and we'll just have to wait and see if the player or team denies the rumors again.
*-> Nikolai Zherdev is indeed being shopped hard, the Flyers are rumored to have another deal for a defenseman on the back burners till they moved Zherdev. Not many teams are interested however as it appears the Montreal Canadiens who were considering a deal have now turned their attention elsewhere. it's said before the end of week the Flyers could be placing Zherdev on waivers to clear up cap if theres no takers.
*->I'm hearing rumblings out of the Chicago a deal is close for Brent Seabrook. Both camps are working hard to get a deal done soon.
*-> The Detroit Red Wings are in talks with prospect Dick Axelsson of the Swedish Elite League. Axelsson reportedly feels he's more mature this time around and could possibly leave Farjestad BK this summer to join the Wings once again.
*-> Ales Kotalik is thinking about asking to be loaned to Europe after his lastest demotion to the AHL by Calgary. If the Flames cannot find a taker at the deadline for Kotalik it's expected he'll try to resume his career in the KHL.
