*-> Today GM Stan Bowman of the Blackhawks has told the Chicago media that Brent Seabrook wont be traded nor have they have had listen to any offers. This should put the end to all of those stupid rumors that the Hawks were looking to move one of their best players on the team. I understand he's an RFA but the Hawks will do everything in their power to retain Seabrook. Bowman also went on to say he's looking to bring in a shut down defenseman. It's believed they could have interest in Radek Martinek out of Long Island.
*-> J. S Giguere has told the Toronto media that he'd prefer to remain a Leaf rather then get traded but wouldn't raise a fuss or hold a grudge against the organization if he were to get dealt. Giguere admitted to sitting down with Brian Burke and told Burke he'd like to remain a Leaf if he was in their plans and if he was going to get starting duties. I still believe he'll get dealt or atleast be shopped around the league by the Leafs. Detroit, Chicago and Washington are the 3 teams that keep coming up.
*-> Bryan McCabe of the Florida Panthers has said he wants to remain in Florida and retire as a Panther, this could be trouble for the Panthers as he owns a no movement clause and may refuse to waive it. However the Panthers may inform him he wont be a Panther next season to help sway his mind.
