Ice Scoopz: Tuesday Afternoon

*-> News out of Toronto this morning confirms that Tomas Kaberle will not waive his no trade clause for any reason and wishes to remain a lead.

*-> Toronto also has stated the Huet rumor to the TDot is not happening and hasn't been discussed.

*-> The Minnesota Wild have officially signed Marek Zidlicky to a 3 year deal worth 12 million dollars per season. Hence the Andy Sutton to Ottawa.

*-> The St Louis Blues and the LA Kings are talking in regards to Paul Kariya. The Kings could be out on the Whitney deal.

I wonder if Rutherford won't end up overplaying his hand with Whitney.

Whitney's a nice player, but he's not a top end guy. If he can get a mid-first or a late first and a prospect, he should jump at it.

Agreed, he might end up driving most suitors away. La has reportedly backed off and Pittsburgh as well, the two biggest pushes. I've heard Boston wants in but Michael Ryder has to be part of the deal.

I think this is Burkes chance to get a good deal for Ponikarovsky from anyone of the former Whitney suitors or even LA to step up and put Frolovs name out there.
