*-> The Montreal Canadians have trade Kyle Chipchura to the Anaheim Ducks for a 4th round draft pick.
This is a good deal for the Ducks. They get a future captain and a key roleplayer. Montreal should have aimmed for a higher pick but I believe teams knew Montreal was faced with a logjam and Chipchura would never surpass Lapiere, Metropolit or Pyatt. It was a necessary deal but a higher pick would have been better.

"future captain and a key roleplayer" Scoopz, or a shameful bust? Based on his past 2 seasons, Chipchura looks like he does not belong at the NHL level. Although he has been a serviceable AHLer......
There is a chance he could fit in better with Anaheim and resurrect this career, but either way it seems like a big dice role.
