Ice Scoopz: Tuesday Morning

*-> Alexander Frolov has officially signed with the New York Rangers. The deal is for one season and is worth 3 million per year. His agent publically stated that Frolov didn't resign with the Kings due to the mistreatment of his client. He went on to accuse the Kings of trying to ruin Frolovs season. While I don't think they purposely ruined his season they did help bury it by publically blasting him several times and benching him. Good deal for the Rangers but one woners if they could have worked a smaller deal.

*-> Matt Moulson and the New York Islanders management to come to terms and avoid arbitration this morning. The Isles and Moulson agreed to a 2.45$ Million dollar deal.

Fair point Scoopz, 3mil is a lot for what is a bit of a gamble.
Plus this blaming your team for your sub-par play is becoming too common, it really reflects badly on the players' characters in my mind. If he is as valuable as he seems to think he is, he could have cracked 20 goals regardless of these problems.

While that is true, I do believe that Frolov shouldn't have been called up publically it's a Mike Keenan tactic that has never really worked for the most part. By calling out Frolov, benching him and demoting him to the third line majority of the season isn't exactly going to get him going. What the Kings should have done is deal him instead of letting him waste. Also if the Kings had a problem with his character they wouldn't have thrown an offer at him this summer when the Ilya Kovalchuk signing went south.
