Ice Scoopz: Tuesday Morning

*-> The Rangers have apparently abandoned the Sheldon Souray watch as the New York Rangers scouts felt that Souray wasn't at the right conditioning they need for their team. Souray appear slower than usual and not in game shape they reported. Several other scouts have also been tailing Souray but no teams other than New Jersey and New York have come out.

*-> The New York Rangers have seemed to turn their attention towards the Ottawa Senators and Sergei Gonchar. With the Rangers looking to add a puck mover Sergei Gonchar appears now to be in their crosshairs and could be the perfect fit to their needs. The Blue Shirts are reportedly offering up Mats Zucharello or Evgeni Grachev up as bait for a possible deal. Ryan Callahan is another name I've heard in the rumor mills being offered up.

*-> Jaromir Jagr could be returning to the NHL Pierre Lebrun of ESPN reports. It's said the former NHL all-star and future Hall of Famer Jagr could return for one last season in the NHL after his stint in the KHL for the past few seasons. He reportedly only wants to return to a true contender however. Jagr also has said that he loves Russia and would have no problem retiring there. He's been treated extremely well in the KHL and hasn't experienced any problems. It's a big decesion he hopes to make at the end of his current KHL season. It was rumored a season ago he could return to the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers with fellow KHLer Roman Cervenka but Jagr decided to remain with Avangard OMSK and Cervenka signed to the KHL instead as well.
