*-> The Pittsburgh Penguins have demoted prospects Eric Tangradi and Andrew Hutchinson to the AHL.
*-> The New York Rangers are currently debating within the organization on what to do with center Todd White. Todd White was invvolved in the deal that sent Donald Brashear to the Thrashers and has yet to find a role with the Blue Shirts. White is reported to be unhappy with his 4th line position and coach John Tortarella has said he has no clue what to do with White on the top 3 lines. The Rangers are expected to try and shop White to a team looking for help but theres not much interest out there at the moment. The Rangers have also considered buying White out but they do not wish to add another Wade Redden situation. White in an Ottawa native so many have been saying the Sens could be interested. It would have to be a dollar for dollar trade but the Sens would like to add offense up front and a physical defenseman none of which White is at this point in his career. A rumor involving the New Jersey Devils shipping Danius Zubrus to New York could make sense if the Devils still wish to dump cap and add a two way veteran.
*-> The Los Angeles Kings and the Ottawa Senators are reportedly in talks in regarding a defenseman.
*-> The Toronto Maple Leafs are highly interested in the Dallas Stars center Brad Richards as are the Los Angeles Kings. More on this in a bit.

I've been doing some digging and im hearing a lot of blake wheeler talk coming out of boston bc they're so tight up against the cap when strum and savard return. I know the sens are looking for a d-man, but Murray has also long been searching for a 'Penner' type player and Wheeler at 6'5 215 is definitely that 'Penner' type player. Also, I caught on twitter that Chiarelli will be attending the game against pheonix tomorrow night. Have you heard anything about Murray dealing with Boston in regards to wheeler or anyone?

Yes Mack I have heard about a possible Wheeler deal but I'm hearing more towards the Phoenix Coyotes who Chiarelli scouted in Montreal as well. I can see Ottawa's side but not too sure what the Sens would give the B's in return other than draft picks.
Wheeler is the type of player Murray would love to have and it's no secret he's still pushing hard for Dustin Penner as well. It'll be interesting to see where Murray goes for help, offense, defense or quite possibly goaltending as I'm sure Murray is looking to boost all 3.
