Ice Scoops: Tuesday Updates

*-> A little update on the Nashville - Vancouver deal, it looks like winger Dan Gendur was also sent Nashvilles way as well as Jonas Andersson heads to the Canucks as well. Ryan Parent has also been placed on waivers as the Canucks are still pushing to get under the cap.

*-> Michael Grabner was a waiver claim, which says a lot of about the state of the Florida Panthers organization. A guy like Olesz gets to keep getting chance after chance while a decent prospect like Grabner gets given away.

*-> Just a reminder the next few days should be active around the league as all NHL teams have to get under the cap by 3pm Wednesday so expect something out of the Devils and the Flames and maybe a follow up from the Canucks.

Hmmm, Grabner on waivers. Either they know something about him, or they are completely incontinent....
Still, he could slide into the top 6 on the Island, so who knows.

Scoopz,

I was never very high on Grabner, and while it may say something about the Panthers to lose him for nothing, I think it says more about the player that he couldn't crack that forward group. The Panthers will struggle to score this year.

I'm also disappointed their hanging on to Gudbranson...I don't think he's ready, but I'm looking forward to seeing him play.
