Ice Scoopz: Sunday Afternoon -> Forsberg 100% Out

*-> Peter Forsberg has made it official that a return to the NHL is not in the cards this season. Although he stated last week he would decide next week he still feels hes not able to permorm at an NHL level. Forsberg has made it clear however that he does want to attempt to return next season with an NHL club. Forsberg will not play for Sweden in the LG Games this month but will attempt to skate this week and will try and suit up for his home club MODO for the remaineder of the season.

*-> Denis Gauthier will attend a NHL hearing where he will get to plead his case for that huge head shot on Josh Gorges Saturday afternoon. The defenseman who is know for taking head shots through out his career will most likely be suspended a few games after the hearing. He clearly left his feet for the hit and the replays clearly show him with his elbows connecting straight into Gorges face on purpose. With the NHL cracking down on head shots will Gauthier be considered a repeat offender and be made an example?

Well that's it for now I'll have a bigger post later after the Superbowl. As for right now I'm watching a really good tilt between the Habs and the Bruins. It feels like a playoff game and this rivalry is only going to get more intense.
