*-> The Edmonton Oilers have showcased Nikita Nikitin but to not much prevail. The Oil would love to dump Nikitin for anything even a minor leaguer but the rest of the league doesn't appear to have any interest especially with the defensemen on the market today.
Nail Yakupov is attracting interest after the Oilers spread the word he's out there. Lots of teams have interest but the offers so far are under whelming for the Oilers. The Senators have expressed the most interest but aren't willing to part with a 1st rounder and high end prospect that the Oilers are asking. Many are comparing the bottom line asking price to the Brett Connolly deal last season. The oilers know they will gain a higher return at the draft so it's still a 50/50 chance they'll ship out the Russian winger.
Other than that Matt Hendricks is the only other member of the Oilers that might attract interest as playoff teams like what he brings to the table. The Capitals have been listed as a possible destination alone with the Florida Panthers.
Finally the Oilers no doubt will receive offers on RNH but at this point have no interest in moving him unless they can finally add that elite defenseman to their blueline which currently doesn't exist on the market. It was reported they were close to moving him when Seth Jones was available so anythings possible but don't get your hopes up internet.
The Oilers will continue to look to build for the future as they do every year and look to find that piece to their blueline that they coveted since Chris Pronger.
