Ice Scoopz: Wednesday Evening

*-> It looks like Michael Nylander is attempting to make an NHL comeback after being banished to the AHL then the Swedish Elite League. The Washington Capitols still have Nylander under contract and were on the hook for the rest of the contract until now. It appears Nylander has found a new home according to TSN with the Florida Panthers. The Florida has agreed to take on Michael Nylander and his contract for the season on a loan basis. Nylander still has some talent left but he is expected to be a secondary scoring option and a leadership role.

*-> It's being reported that the Colorado Avalanche have inquired about the avaliability of Jaime Langenbruner of the New Jersey. New Jersey has still yet to make a decision on their cap situation but time is begining to run out. Bryce Salvador appears safe as the Devils like what he brings to the table while others like Dainus Zubrus and Brian Rolston remain in limbo. It's rumored the Blue Jackets still are interested in Rolston while the Islanders also could be an option.

How come two morons think the Leafs will be the most successful team this season?

Seriously, every season 'its going to be different this time', for over 40 years. Bozak as a 1st line center? Humiliating. It will be a miracle if they scrape into the playoffs this season.
