Ice Scoopz: Breaking News

Sad news this morning as the news has broke around the world that a plane carrying the staff and players of the KHL club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl has crashed killing 35 people on route from Moscow to Minsk. Not much else is known at the current time. Pavol Demitra, Ruslan Salei, and Josef Vasicek were all rumored to be on board.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the organization.

**Update

It appears the casualty number has gone up to 43 people. The plane was carrying 45 passengers so they now have two confirmed survivors. 37 passengers and 8 crew members are presumed dead. The cause of the crash has been ruled a pilot error. another press release out of Russia has said not all the players may have been travelling by plane but theres no confirmation of that.

It's been reported the entire main roster has been confirmed among the deceased and it appears that Alexander Galimov has now passed as well. Also the league has said 4 MHL players were also on board.
