If Cheechoo's downward trend continues, hes on pace for under 20pts this season, earning his millions. On the plus side, there is a decent chance Michalek can crack 60pts, he is pretty talented. The Sharks definitely capitalized on this awful turn of events for the Sens.
I forgot to add Ottawa also tossed in a 5th rounder as well. I personally feel that its a win win given the situation Bryan Murray was faced with. Murray had limited time and only 2 teams to work with so getting a 60pt guy and a maybe 50goal scorer isn't that bad. I'd rather have had the Edmonton deal but Murray was handcuffed. It was rumored that he was unwilling to deal with playing in ottawa because of the media circus following this fiasco. The Sharks in return have a deadly 1st line that may seal them the West if they can click.
